This past academic year saw a lot of changes in structure and event activity for 12 Days. It also saw a lot of firsts for the organisation. The icing on the cake, however was Honors Night.

Gender, Identity, Crisis: One Act Festival 2005

This years One Act Festival produced two wonderfully performed and directed 30 minute shows. Victor Torres and Noora Al-Fraih directed selections from Kathy Najimy and Mo Gaffney's "Parallel Lives" and Celynda Peck with her assistant Nathalie Groeneveld directed Christopher Durang's "Actor's Nightmare". The festival ran for three performances.

Popcorn by Ben Elton

A stellar cast headlined this full-length play directed by Johanna Dunphy with her assistant, Zeana Bey which ran for three performances. The play was a crime comedic-drama written with Tarrentino-esque flair. The play was graced with a surprise visit from Dr. Michael Barclay and Murray Woodfield, two members of the Richmond Drama Department.

This production saw a first for Richmond, successfully producing a musical production starring a cast of 20 students. The revue was directed by Olga-Marie Pratt, musically assisted by Zeana Bey, and choreographed by Eliza Andrews. After playing just two performances to sold-out houses, this production was given the award for BEST UNIVERSITY EVENT FALL 2005-SPRING 2006. Congratulations to all those involved!

New Lighting Equipment Purchased!

Because of the unprecedented ticket sales from the past academic year, we were able to purchase a set of lights that belongs exclusively to 12 Days Productions. This will make setting up productions faster and more efficient. We'll be looking for more techies to train to use the lighting equipment and the speakers we have for sound effects. Look for updates on this site!
